Literally one of my favorites to date is on the blog today! Christa and Nick were married at the beautiful Shadow Creek wedding venue in Purcellville, VA and it was definitely a day to never forget. I had shot their engagement session almost an entire year ago and it was so great to get to see their day finally unfold and all their hard work come together, but seeing them get married was just awesome! Their bridal party were such troopers even though it was pretty stinking windy through their portraits and I know the ladies must have been cold, but they never once complained. Thank you guys so much! I was truly honored to work alongside some of the best in the industry — the florals from the talented Growing Wild Floral Company were simply stunning, Lori from Shadow Creek made me feel so welcome and I was so excited to finally photograph a Shadow Creek wedding, Michelle kept everything organized, calm, and happening right on time, and DJ Romin did a spectacular job and kept the dance floor packed all evening. It was such an awesome day and one I’ll never forget! Thank you to Christa and Nick for including me in your day, it was such an honor to witness. I hope you enjoy looking back through these images as much as I enjoyed taking them! XO, Sara
Time for her first look with her dad — this was one of the cutest responses I’ve ever seen!! <3
Julie’s view of Nick seeing Christa below…
And my view at the very same moment below!
How proud does he look to see the woman who is about to be his wife walking down the aisle towards him? Love it.
The light was SO amazing during the ceremony cause it was technically golden hour, so right after the family formals, we took advantage of the beautiful light and cranked out a few more more portraits! Worth it.
So gorgeous, Christa!
Time to party!
LOVE the angle Julie caught of the bouquet toss!
