On Friday evening, I met up with Chris and Ashley at Bluemont Vineyard in Loudoun County for their engagement session! They are getting married this October at Riverside on the Potomac. I got to see some of the details/planning of their day and am so excited to see their vision come together. These two have been working on so many DIY projects (they may be the busiest DIY bride and groom I’ve had yet!) and I know their day will be so perfectly them. They have been dating for almost 8 years and are so ready and excited to finally become husband and wife and I can’t wait for their day to arrive so I can continue to document their love story. I couldn’t be more grateful to have such wonderful clients. Their day will be here before we know it so in the meantime, lets check out a few peeks from their engagement session! Chris + Ashley, I’m so excited to get you both in front of my camera again and really hope you enjoy this blog post!
In August of 2008, my swim coach and I sat down on the deck of the Hood College pool to go over the roster for the upcoming swim season. Looking at the list of incoming swimmers my coach mentioned there would be two Christopher’s joining the team in the fall, “one I will hate and one I would date.” I laughed it off but when I met Christopher for the first time I knew my coach was right. From teammates and co-workers to friends and then an official couple, I can easily say I have found my best friend and forever teammate.
I still remember the moment I met Ashley like it was yesterday. It was the first volunteer swim practice at Hood College and I was nervous about meeting my new teammates. However, as soon as I met Ashley, all of those thoughts went out the window and I immediately thought “oh man, this girl is amazing”. I knew from that moment that I wanted Ashley in my life. We quickly became friends, and one thing led to another. I’m so lucky that I get to spend every day with someone so thoughtful and amazing, and cannot wait to see what our future holds.
Absolutely stunning photos!
Thank you so much, Ali! 🙂 🙂
