It was such a beautiful pastel Spring Riverside on the Potomac barn wedding last weekend with Jackie and Bryce! I’m sharing a huge preview and will update this post once the final highlight trailer from Adam goes live.
After the ladies helped Jackie get into her Eve of Milady gown that was a work of art and looked like it was made for her, it was time to see her groom. We did the couple’s first look and Bryce’s reaction seeing Jackie was absolutely adorable. I always love witnessing couples seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. Following some portraits, we knocked out 90% of the portraits before the ceremony started, which is such a benefit to the couple so that they can spend time mingling with their guests at cocktail hour! It was quite hot that day but everyone pushed through and I was so grateful for their cooperation. As we were preparing for their outdoor ceremony to begin, a dark cloud started moving towards us and Delia-Anne was preparing to have to shift the schedule around a bit. Luckily all cleared up and we only got a couple of sprinkles for a quick second and it was over! Jackie and Bryce read their own vows to each other and a friend read a poem she had written for the couple on their day; it was such a moving ceremony.
All of the details that Jackie and Delia-Anne chose were perfection; from the stunning sage green, lavender, and ivory florals that The Rosy Posy crafted, the delicate calligraphy by Leah Letters designed on the milk jug table number wall display, to the farmhouse tables and sage green chivari chairs that tied in with the bridesmaid’s gowns. Jackie had described her vision for their day to be simple, rustic, and elegant, and together, they achieved exactly that. I absolutely loved that Jackie was able to highlight her sister as the MOH with a stunning chiffon ivory and sage floral gown and that Bryce had just his two brothers standing up there with him. Family is so important to these two and so many of their loved ones traveled from a distance to celebrate with them.
