This Old Town Alexandria engagement session was so much fun with Stephanie and Mark before they are married this Spring. I’m so excited to share this one with you all!
There’s no denying these two have so much chemistry. Ahead of the session, I was warned that Mark is not one for PDA on camera, but I swear that just watching these two together, I would never have believed it. These two have been doing the long-distance thing for a while as Mark was working towards his Master’s. I loved that Stephanie’s furbaby was able to join as well. He is a rescue and had a hard life before finding Stephanie and is so, so important to her. As you know pups are always welcome to join any and all of my sessions!
Enjoy a few of my favorites!
My first thought when I saw Mark for the first time was that he seemed like such a genuine and good guy. He was funny, humble, and very down-to-earth. I also appreciated how much he wanted to know about me and how we spent equal time talking about him and me during that first lunch together. To this day, Mark is the most genuine and good-hearted man I have ever known.
I knew being a little older we both wanted to make sure there was some vision of what the future could look like before we decided to date seriously. Mark and I were on a date when he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend with the intention that this relationship was serious and he saw a future leading to marriage with it.
Mark and I were mountain biking in Zion. He had not proposed the previous few days on some of the iconic hikes in Zion so I really was not sure that he was going to on that trip at all. During our mountain bike trek, Mark took me up to the top of a plateau without another soul in sight. We stood for a little bit looking at the scenery and lamenting about how someone had forgotten to bring us enough water for the 110-degree day (that someone was not me haha). When I turned around to get back on my mountain bike Mark was down on one knee with a gorgeous ring on display.
I love how Mark is genuine and has a heart of gold. He loves his friends and family and would do absolutely anything for them. Mark is so very generous in every way. He is so kind-hearted and always asks what he can do to make my life better. I know he puts me first at every turn. At 38, I don’t know how this man was possibly still on the market but I am so grateful that he was.
I cannot wait for our officiant to introduce us as husband and wife. That is a moment I have been waiting for as long as I can remember. Knowing I have this man by my side for the rest of my life is the best feeling in the world. Admittedly, I’m a little nervous to see his dance moves but otherwise, I’m excited for every part of our big day!
