I can’t tell you how excited I am to share these studio dance portraits I took of the incredible dancer Kaeli of Studio Bleu Dance Center! One of the positive aspects about social media is the fact that I was able to follow along with one of my first dance instructors, Gloria Hampton, and over the years I have watched her daughter Kaeli blossom into such a gifted dancer. I won’t deny that I’ve been part of her fan club for a while now and it was so much fun to finally be able to meet her in person and to see the incredibly awesome Miss Gloria again after over two decades! Crazy! I told Gloria that photographing Kaeli was on my bucket list and we’d been discussing setting up a time to shoot for seriously a couple of years now. Last Saturday, I was able to check off photographing Kaeli from my list and I really hope I can do it again soon! Every movement Kaeli makes is just effortless and watching her nail each position and pose so gracefully was simply remarkable to witness. Thank you so much to Kaeli and Gloria for all of their work and time spent with me on Saturday, and a big thank you needs to be extended out to Ally Voshell who drove all the way up to Leesburg to do Kaeli’s hair and makeup!
I’ve now embarked on a new genre of photography that I would love to continue and am so eager to share these images with you all today! Cheers and hope you enjoy the beauty that is Kaeli!
