I’m sharing with you last week’s sweet lifestyle newborn photo session in Centreville with Melissa and Navin and their new baby girl!
To begin, I just wanted to clarify – yes, I’m still doing photo sessions right now, whether that be outdoor but I am now accepting indoor sessions again as well! I hadn’t been for a bit when we were all quarantined and it felt awful to turn people away for their newborn sessions, but I’m back to photographing for the time being. I prefer to err on the side of caution, so I’m wearing a mask when indoors and also outdoors if I need to get closer to people, and no hugging, touching baby, or adjusting anyone’s hair right now. It’s a weird thing to get used to because I so want to hug my clients-turned-friends when I see them during their sessions, but it’s obviously just not a normal time right now.
And I wanted to give Melissa and Navin a big hug when I saw them because, WHAT?! – they are now parents to this tiny, beautiful little human and it’s so amazing to see! I hadn’t seen them since their wedding day at Riverside on the Potomac two years ago but they have already fallen into their role beautifully and documenting this time was really special. Baby Mia was less than two weeks old during this session, so it was pretty soon after they had come home from the hospital and everyone was still settling in. I can’t thank them enough for having me.
Another highlight of my time with them was that I also got to meet their pup Gunner who is such a sweetheart and so attentive and loving to his little sister. And I’m thrilled to share this little session with you all today on the blog.
