While the temps were still cold, the sun definitely came out for these Fredericksburg VA family photos taken last weekend. A joint birthday party for one of the family’s two daughters was being celebrated that afternoon at Braehead Farm so I was so excited to meet them there to photograph them all together, especially since one family was visiting from overseas! I had heard of Braehead Farms several times but not yet had the chance to photograph there. What an adorable spot to host children’s birthday party! They have goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, horses, so you know I was in hog heaven. Ha, no pun intended. But in all seriousness — my favorite kind of space to be, with all the animals. This family was incredibly sweet and while the kids were shy and unsure about the whole photography thing, they were pushing through some colder temps and can’t thank them enough for that!
