When Brittany contacted me about shooting her and Dan’s 1 year anniversary photos at their little rancher home that they purchased together right after getting married, I was so excited! I love when clients have an idea to incorporate something really meaningful into their sessions instead of picking a random field. Yes, we can find great locations most anywhere, but honestly it means so much more to them in the long run to have a special/important location for their photos, which in turn is meaningful to me. They had a gorgeous property, a cute little red barn in their backyard with a lot of character, and the decor and landscaping in their yard was just beautiful. Brittany wanted non-posed photos for their session so we went for a more relaxed and candid style for this one. They had two of the cutest dogs that I could’ve easily spent hours playing with, but I was definitely hired to take photos and not hug on their pups the entire time so I forced myself to work. Dogs just have this effect on me, every single time. I’m just a sucker! 🙂
Hope you all enjoy some of my favorites. Brittany and Dan, thanks for trusting me to capture this milestone in your lives!
