Fall Chatham Manor Family Photos | Northern Virginia Family Photographer

I never tire of fall Chatham Manor family photos! Chatham Manor is such a unique spot here in Fredericksburg (especially for all of you garden lovers) and there’s so much to love about this family session. This was actually their first time taking pictures together and I couldn’t believe how prepared and well they did together! I try to preach how we go with the flow during these type of sessions because I know it’s hard for kids (and parents!) to focus on staying picture perfect for the majority of the session. This is why a blend of images are captured, which you can see an example of below. You pose and smile, relax, sometimes we get a little silly and rowdy (if I can help it, I try to save any rowdy photos towards the end of the session), and this is all to be expected. This is how I can capture that authentic laugh or playful squinty nosed smile and everything in between.
